King Industries is seeking a Senior Process/Project Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 15 years of experience in batch processing, distillation, and specialty chemicals.
Skills Required- Solid understanding of chemical engineering processes (heat transfer, fluid flow, mass transfer, distillation, reaction engineering, extraction).
- Proficient with computers for technical and business use.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across departments.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Design and improve chemical manufacturing systems and equipment.
- Support process improvements and capacity upgrades.
- Assist with operator training and maintain operating procedures.
- Prepare technical documents (P&IDs, balances, layouts, controls).
- Troubleshoot processes and improve efficiency, safety, and productivity.
- Identify and reduce safety, environmental, and operational risks.
- Participate in hazard analyses, safety reviews, and compliance efforts.
- Manage equipment purchases, project costs, and timelines.
- Support system installations and startup activities.
- Scale up processes from lab to full production.
- Contribute to safety programs and emergency response team.
