Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
Systems Engineer to support the US Navy out of Newport, RI. The role involves programing and managing networks, overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance, integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices, managing the development cycle for resilient software, hardware and web applications—including specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance—and providing project analysis to identify potential risks and solutions.
SystemsEngineer Will Be Responsible For
- Programing and managing networks.
- Oversee the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
- Integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
- Manage the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and web applications, including specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
- Provide project analysis to identify potential risks; provide solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline and 7 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
- US Citizen with a DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience using NAVWAR software related procedures on submarines, surface, or shore installations.
- Experience in submarine software installations or installation of networked systems on Navy platforms.
- Experience using the PEO C4I AI process in lab environments in support of submarines or surface ships.
- Prior work experience directly supporting NUWCDIVNPT Code 25 submarine Tactical Networks programs.
- Familiarity with CANES (AN/USQ-208), SubLAN (AN/USQ-177), ADNS, and Tactical Networks Next Generation (TN Next Gen) architectures and modernization roadmaps across SSN, SSBN, and SSGN platforms.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
