Due to ongoing growth, GNR has been retained to identify a CHIEF R&D ENGINEER for a well-established & reputable company that continues to develop innovative solutions.
This company has a long history of solving some of the industry’s toughest problems by creating highly specialized fluid controls, valves, filters, and pumps for the Aerospace & Defense, Space, Industrial, Medical Equipment, and Automotive sectors.

Reporting to the Director of Innovation, you will play a significant role in leading & contributing to all R&D initiatives across the company’s entire product portfolio & driving innovation in new product development (NPD).
- Lead multiple projects & mentor a small team – influence team members to THINK OUTSIDE the box
- Influence & guide technical direction, prototyping & testing of research projects to successfully transition into production - NPI/NPD.
- Collaborate on strategic roadmaps, new technologies, market trends, and product placement in potential new markets.
- Advise multiple product groups on their challenges, processes, materials, costs, testing, and manufacturing/production.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 8+ years of experience in Research & Design for high-precision component manufacturing of Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical products, components or large systems: hydraulics – fluid controls – valves – pumps – mechanisms – complex machinery.
- Ability to solve complex problems; primarily for NPD and support engineering groups with their challenges
- MS / PhD in Engineering
- Physics
- Science
- Materials or like
