Electrical Engineer

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical based on customer and project specifications.
  • Develop, program, and commission automated control systems using Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems.
  • Wire, test, troubleshoot, and debug control panels and integrated machinery while supporting equipment installations and field issues.
  • Collaborate with customers, technicians, and internal teams to review requirements, resolve technical issues, improve system efficiency, and ensure compliance with project budgets and applicable standards.
Job Requirements Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor"s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment involving automated systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical for schematic development and control panel design/layout.
  • Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and programming platforms, including HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems.
  • Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 79, and NEC requirements for industrial control panels, along with hands-on electrical wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience designing automated packaging machinery, particularly within the packaging industry.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
