We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Assistant Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to oversee core accounting operations while leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for a growing medical device company. Reporting to the Controller, this role will partner closely with operations, sales, and leadership to provide actionable insights, improve financial visibility, and support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate thrives in a small-company environment, is comfortable building processes, and can operate at both a strategic and detailed level.

• Assist the Controller with monthly close processes
• Review journal entries, accountreconciliationsandfinancial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance
• Maintain and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support audits, taxfilingsand external reporting requirements
• Assist with cash managementforecasting
• Lead the annual budget,monthly actuals andforecastupdates, and long-range planning processes
• Develop andmaintainfinancial models to support business planning, new product initiatives, and capital investments
• Analyze revenue drivers, gross margins, operating expenses, and working capital trends

• Prepare monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis versus budget and prior periods
• Provide clear, concise financial insights and recommendations to the Controller and leadership team
• Track and analyze KPIs related to sales performance, manufacturing costs, inventory, and R&D spend

• Partner with functional leaders (Sales, Operations, R&D, Supply Chain) to support decision-making and cost management
• Support pricing analysis, product profitability, and customer-level margin analysis

• Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy; help scale financial infrastructure as the company grows
• Support ERP, budgeting, and reporting systems enhancements

• Support management teamas needed
• Assist with scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and strategic initiatives

• 10+ years of progressiveexperiencein accounting and financial analysispreferably in medical device, life sciences, manufacturing, or regulated industries
• Hands-on experience withbudgeting, forecasting and variance analysispreferablyusing BI tools
• Experience working in a small or mid-sized company environment strongly preferred
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
• Advanced Excelrequired; experience with
