Senior Manager Of Business Development
EMCOR Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Business Development who would support the company's acquisition strategy through identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities. This individual will screen potential targets, develop detailed valuation models, support deal structuring and negotiations, and coordinate diligence efforts across staff functions. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound financial and operational judgment, clear and concise communication, and the ability to manage complex transactions across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-volume deal environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities• Identify, research, and evaluate potential acquisition targets in accordance with EMCOR's strategic priorities
• Apply structured screening criteria to evaluate strategic fit within EMCOR's operating landscape
• Analyze target financial performance, quality of earnings, construction-specific performance indicators, risk areas, and key value drivers to determine quality of acquisition opportunity
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses to inform capital allocation and support investment decisions
• Assist in negotiating key commercial and financial terms with acquisition target ownership
• Coordinate acquisition process across accounting/finance, legal, HR, IT, operations, risk, safety, and tax departments
• Identify risks, synergies, and integration considerations during the due diligence process and develop integration plans with relevant operational or functional leadership
• Monitor industry trends, comparable transactions, and competitive dynamics to inform M&A strategy
• Prepare presentations and materials for executive leadership and Board-level discussions
• Assist with special projects and reports as needed
• Travel: approximately 20%
• BS / BA required, degree in accounting, finance, or similar field preferred. MBA preferred.
• Five years of relevant experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate development or similar.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage large projects involving multiple staff functions.
