This full-time, on-site Medical Office Receptionist role is located in Cos Cob, CT. The Medical Office Receptionist will greet patients, manage check-in and check-out processes, and answer incoming calls with professional phone etiquette. Daily responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient information, and coordinating with clinical staff to support smooth office operations. The role also involves handling insurance cards and basic insurance verification.

The receptionist will provide courteous, efficient service to patients and visitors while upholding confidentiality and practice policies.

This is a full time position paid via hourly rate without benefits other than eligibility for 401K plan.

• Strong Phone Etiquette and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to handle calls and patient interactions in a professional and courteous manner.
• Appointment Scheduling and calendar management experience, including coordinating patient visits and follow-up appointments accurately.
• Receptionist Duties and front desk operations experience, such as greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, and handling inquiries.
• Familiarity with Medical Office procedures and workflows, including basic understanding of patient documentation and HIPAA requirements.
• Proficiency with office software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, or willingness to learn.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a medical or healthcare office is preferred.
