Facilities Management Director

Encompass Health seeks a Facilities Management Director to lead all building operations for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this onsite role, you will oversee maintenance, life-safety, and environmental systems to ensure a safe, regulatory-compliant, and patient-centered environment. Responsibilities include managing a facilities team, vendors, and capital projects; driving preventive maintenance programs; controlling budgets; and supporting emergency preparedness. You’ll collaborate closely with clinical and administrative leaders in a culture focused on integrity, excellence, and professional growth.

• Lead day-to-day operations of all hospital facilities and building systems
• Ensure compliance with healthcare codes, life-safety, and regulatory standards
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and work orders
• Supervise facilities staff and oversee external vendors and contractors
• Manage facilities operating and capital budgets
• Coordinate and support construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects
• Implement safety, security, and emergency preparedness procedures
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to support patient care needs
• Monitor facility performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain accurate facilities documentation, inspections, and compliance records
