We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing processes within a highly technical production environment. This role is responsible for developing efficient manufacturing methods, improving production workflows, resolving process and quality challenges, and supporting new product development from raw material through finished product.
The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and customers to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
:
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to optimize material flow, production efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process sheets, work instructions, operation sheets, and technical requirements.
- Develop production methods and sequencing based on engineering drawings, blueprints, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
- Support new product development activities from initial raw materials through completed production.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues related to materials, processes, tooling, and production methods.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to improve quality and reduce production challenges.
- Implement engineering changes and update manufacturing documentation, programs, and processes as required.
- Collaborate with production, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and customers to improve manufacturing performance.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving cycle times, and enhancing overall productivity.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams, operators, and inspectors.
Qualifications
:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience; aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production methods, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using CAD systems such as Solid Works, NX 7.5+, or similar platforms to create work instructions and process documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel approximately 5–10% as needed.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. Government regulations and able to access ITAR-controlled technical data.
