Solution Mixing Technician - LPN

Job Summary

Full‑Time Solution Mixing Technician – LPN (Norwalk, CT). Under indirect supervision of a licensed physician, the technician will be responsible for the precise mixing of allergen extracts, strictly adhering to established protocols. This role is exclusively for the preparation of allergen extracts.

• Prepare allergen extract mixtures accurately following standardized recipes and protocols.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety and sterility standards.
• Label, package, and store mixed extracts appropriately.
• Document lot numbers, expiration dates, and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of lab supplies.
• Participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor on an as‑needed basis.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of Connecticut.
• Graduate from an LPN education program approved by the state Education Department.
• Pass the NCLEX‑PN examination.
• Prior experience in a laboratory or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques, sterile preparation, and basic understanding of allergen extracts and immunotherapy.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently under indirect supervision.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Open availability to work during weekdays (full‑time, 30+ hours, Monday‑through‑Friday with rotating Saturdays).
• Allergy experience strongly preferred.

Hourly pay range: $24.18 – $30.23.
