Job DescriptionUnder provider direction, Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to patients across a range of clinical settings. The role involves applying the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate responses to health problems, following established practices, standards, protocols, and guidelines. This hybrid position works with Electrophysiology (EP) Providers and supports EP patients through both on‑site and remote care.
- Manages and monitors cardiac device patients in collaboration with an attending physician.
- Demonstrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet patient and family needs.
- Assists the health‑care team with prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
- Delivers and accurately documents direct, age‑specific care based on medical orders and a multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Provides direction, education, and serves as a role model in a clinical setting.
- Manages patient data in cardiac device monitoring websites, databases, and EMR alongside MA and APP.
- Performs clerical and clinical duties, including patient education for the cardiac device management program.
- Schedules and prepares remote transmissions for provider review, documenting device interrogations in a timely manner.
- Assists with daily coordination of patient care to facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Delegates and supervises work as appropriate.
- Provides cardiac nursing care in the outpatient setting within the device remote program and may assist with in‑office device clinic.
- Performs additional duties as assigned, supporting practice clinics.
- Works weekday daytime hours; weekends, nights, and holidays are not required.
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Experience in cardiology and/or cardiac electrophysiology strongly preferred.
- Potential for remote work.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required).
