The Travel Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in collaborating with healthcare teams.

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety.
• Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required.
• BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
