About This Role

The Travel Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health will provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with healthcare teams to implement effective treatment plans. This role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care.

• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut required. BLS certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
