Compensation: $28.84 – $33.65 per hour
The role is part of the Advanced Structures team, which develops advanced materials and additive manufacturing solutions for aircraft structural integrity and performance.
Responsibilities- Use proper inspection methods and complex equipment (including complex part set‑ups and inspections, CMM operation & programming preferred)
- Perform inspection of receiving, in‑process, and finished components utilizing various measuring and test equipment
- Verify SPC data for final acceptance of parts
- Interface with other employees regarding quality issues
- Inspect products/material and records through MES System and generate required documentation on discrepant disks
- Inspect returned goods from customers, define discrepancies and report as required
- Prepare certificate of conformance as required by customer if applicable
- Recommend and or assist in development and implementation of inspection instructions
- Ensure nonconforming material is segregated and properly documented and controlled
- Read, interpret, and comply with policies, regulations, safety and company rules, operating instructions, and procedures
- Communicate effectively and exercise analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Maintain focus on safety, quality, and productivity
- Interface effectively interdepartmentally
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline
- At least two years of relevant experience using general measurement tools per inspection requirements
- Basic to intermediate math competency (Geometry, Basic Trigonometry)
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
- Experience calibrating precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth indicators)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel
