Job Summary (Essential Functions)

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to members and guests while maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar. This hands-on role supports the Head Bartender and works closely with barbacks, servers, and management to ensure timely, professional, and high-quality service in all club outlets.

Job Tasks/Duties
  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards.
  • Provides attentive, friendly service to members and guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintains a clean and organized bar area, including restocking supplies, glassware, and garnishes.
  • Assists in managing beverage inventory and communicates shortages to the Head Bartender or Food & Beverage Supervisor.
  • Follows responsible alcohol service guidelines at all times.
  • Works collaboratively with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Assists with opening, closing, and side work duties for the bar area.
  • Supports special events, banquets, and club functions as needed.
  • Participates in ongoing training and development to improve service and product knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Bartender, Food & Beverage Supervisor, or Clubhouse Manager.
Education And/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in hospitality or mixology preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of bartending experience in a restaurant, club, or hospitality environment.
  • Prior experience in a member‑based or high‑end service environment preferred.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies And Expectations
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation, mixology, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Ability to provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to members and guests.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work collaboratively with bar and service staff.
  • Ability to maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Commitment to high standards of safety, sanitation, and member‑focused hospitality.
Licenses And

Special Requirements
  • TIPS or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification required.
  • Serv Safe Alcohol or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of cocktail, beer, and wine trends preferred.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Fast‑paced environment requiring quick movement, multitasking, and bending/stooping.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak service.
