Assistant Store Manager (ASM) - Your Role and ImpactThe ASM assists the general manager in day‑to‑day store operations, ensuring adherence to Global Partner policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities- Complete daily accounting paperwork and submit by deadline.
- Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt hourly employees.
- Supervise shift cash handling and inventory; investigate shortages over $100/month or inventory deviations 0.5% of sales.
- Maintain business records and cashier accountability sheets.
- Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested.
- Manage cash management procedures, including bank deposits and change orders.
- Ensure Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards are met.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure store security, safety, and compliance with environmental guidelines.
- Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries.
- Engage in company promotional initiatives.
- Promote a high level of guest service.
- Perform any duties required by company policies or supervisor assignments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Available to work flexible hours including day, night, weekends, and holidays.
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong verbal communication and clear information conveyance.
- Initiative, quick decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Guest‑first mindset with exceptional service skills.
- Lead‑by‑example attitude and strong work ethic.
- Accurate math, reading, writing, and basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in intermittent temperatures and perform physical tasks that may require reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to access all store areas freely.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pay Range: $20.59 – $23.59 per hour, subject to experience, skills, and location.
