Advanced Lung Disease Sales Specialist — Hartford/New Haven, CT
Rare Disease Opportunity | PAH & PH-ILD/IPF
Make an impact where it matters most. Launch a life-changing therapy in your own backyard.
A growing biopharmaceutical company in the rare disease space is looking for a driven, clinically sharp sales professional to own the Hartford/New Haven, CT territory as an Advanced Lung Disease (ALD) Sales Specialist.
This isn't a "manage the territory" role. It's a launch-and-build opportunity. You'll be the face of an established therapy to pulmonologists, cardiologists, and the broader care teams treating patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and Pulmonary Hypertension associated with Interstitial Lung Disease / Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (PH-ILD/IPF). These are rare, serious, and often under diagnosed conditions where the right conversation with the right physician can change a patient's life.
Whatyou'll do:
- Own and grow a defined CT territory (Hartford, New Haven) and run it like your own business
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with pulmonologists, cardiologists, NPs, PAs, RNs and specialty distributor partners
- Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, credible conversations with HCPs
- Develop and execute territory business plans to hit and exceed sales goals
- Become the go-to educational resource on PH-ILD/IPF and PAH treatment in your community
- Represent the company at regional/national medical symposia, conferences, and patient advocacy events
- Partner closely with your Regional Business Director and cross-functional field team
- 6+ years (8+ for Senior level) successfully selling pharmaceutical or specialty healthcare products to physicians and specialty HCPs, or equivalent advanced lung disease clinical/nursing experience
- 2+ years in Cardiovascular and/or Pulmonary Disease therapeutics
- A track record of exceeding targets in complex, relationship-driven specialty markets
- Bachelor's degree (life science or nursing preferred), or equivalent experience
- Comfortable with 75–80% travel and a valid driver's license
- Bonus points:
experience selling through specialty pharmacy channels, in PH-ILD/IPF, or within institutional/major teaching center environment
- A genuinely mission-driven culture where patient impact is the measure of success, not a talking point
- An established, growing therapeutic portfolio with strong momentum in the PAH/pulmonary disease space
- Highly competitive total compensation including base, uncapped incentive comp, long-term incentives, and a strong benefits package (medical/dental/vision, retirement plan with match, paid parental leave, disability, and more) — full details shared during the interview process
- A genuine moment of growth — get in early on a regional launch with real autonomy and visibility
Field-based, residing within the Hartford/New Haven, CT territory.
