About the RoleMini Med seeks an experienced Territory Manager to drive business growth for our Diabetes products and services. The role is field‑based and supports the New Haven, CT territory, extending into Waterbury, Trumbull, and Branford. You will be expected to be in the field 5 days per week.
Responsibilities- Promote, sell, and service Mini Med products to physicians, patients, and referral sources through sales calls and educational activities.
- Implement quarterly sales and market development plans to achieve targets, adapting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with Clinical Territory Managers, Diabetes Clinical Educators, and cross‑functional teams to educate stakeholders on intensive diabetes management and continuous glucose monitoring.
- Provide product and therapy technical support to patients, including consultation at staff in‑services, physician seminars, and community organizations (ADA, AADE, JDRF, patient support groups).
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, and non‑clinical buyers to establish a strong business base.
- Manage territory expenses, inventory, and product returns, and coordinate daily customer support activities as assigned.
- Capture healthcare professional engagements via Salesforce in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete administrative reporting, utilize approved sales collateral, and conduct market research on customers and competitors.
- Communicate customer feedback and product needs to internal stakeholders (R&D, Operations, Marketing).
- Ensure compliance with credentialing requirements for healthcare settings as required for field employees.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum three (3) years prior sales experience.
- Nice to have:
Field sales experience highly preferred. - Prior medical device, business‑to‑business or pharmaceutical sales experience highly preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce.
- Prior inside sales or field clinical experience with Mini Med.
- Previous sales award recipient due to strong sales performance (e.g., President's Club, Rookie of the Year).
- Strong data analysis, evaluation and problem‑solving skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. Your driving record will be reviewed as part of the application.
- Must be able to drive approximately 100% of the time within the assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
- Position requires frequent travel within the territory and may involve heavy lifting/standing and travel to healthcare facilities.
Mini Med offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
Salary range for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $58,000.00 – $98,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). The SIP provides the opportunity to earn additional incentive compensation based on performance, bringing the estimated average total target compensation (TTC) range to $140,000 – $180,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary by factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location.
