Conveyor Controls Technician Contract-to-Hire Pay range: $40-$50/hr
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field - 3–7+ years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation, material handling, or conveyor systems
- Strong experience with PLC programming;
Allen‑Bradley Control Logix highly desirable - Working knowledge of electrical principles and practices as applied to automated material handling and conveyor systems
- Experience with implementation, troubleshooting, and improvement of electrical control systems for industrial and conveyor applications
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineers, site personnel, and management
- Ability to perform assignments independently with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel for installations, commissioning, and on‑site support
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electrical control systems for conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and industrial automation applications
- Program and operate Allen‑Bradley Control Logix PLC systems and support conveyor automation control software
- Execute field assignments including installations, startups, and ongoing site support, ensuring work is completed on time and to specifications
- Perform hands‑on wiring, panel terminations, and integration of control system components in accordance with applicable codes and requirements
- Coordinate with engineers and site teams during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Document field changes, as‑built conditions, and technical findings to support engineering and operations teams
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians as needed
