Title: Field Crew

The Field Crew Restoration technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment, as well as an assigned service vehicle. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the Field Crew Restoration technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform production processes, demolition and other labor intensive tasks;
    • Perform fire, water, and mold damage restoration, extracting standing water, demolition, set-up and take down equipment.
  • Prepare rooms/areas for work activities;
    • Set up staging area and containment for each project.
  • Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
  • Communicate with restoration supervisor, other technicians, project manager, office and management personnel to maintain efficient production processes.
  • Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project.
  • Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown.
    • Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.

    • Other ad-hoc duties assigned and requested by management.
    Skills/Physical Demands/

    Competencies:
    • Effective communication with basic math and computer skills; preferred
    • IICRC certifications; preferred
    • Valid driver’s license; required
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
    • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
    • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
    • Ability to work with/around cleaning products.
    • Ability to travel locally and out-of-state when necessary.
    • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
    • Previous experience cleaning, restoration, general labor or construction industry; preferred
    • Ability to respond appropriately and interact positively with customers.
    • Must have a professional appearance and great attitude.
    • Capable to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
    • Bilingual – English/Spanish, a plus
    EDUCATION

    High school diploma/GED; required

    Schedule:
    • 8+ Hour Day / 40+ Hours Per Week Shift, flexible to work overtime when required
    • Monday to Friday (Regular Work Shift) and Saturday availability
    • Must be willing to be available for On-Call Rotation due to our 24-hour emergency services
    • Some night and weekend work are required
    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Environment:
    This position will be in the field on job sites, commercial, and residential properties; not eligible for office, hybrid or remote.

    Ability to commute:

    Norwalk, CT 06851. Reliably commute to office/warehouse location (Required)

    Physical Demands:

    Work is performed in the field on jobsites; commercial, and residential properties and requires the ability to operate standard equipment. Work that includes moving objects between 50-100 pounds may be required.
