Overview

Oak Hills Park Golf Course is seeking a highly motivated and service-driven Assistant Golf Professional to play a central leadership role within a dynamic public golf operation.

This is an eight (8) month seasonal position aligned with the active golf season (April-November). The Assistant Golf Professional will oversee all tournament operations while supporting daily golf operations, instruction, merchandising, and player development programming.

This role is ideal for a PGA Professional who wants to gain real leadership experience, manage a high-volume tournament program, and develop elite-level skills in teaching and coaching, club fitting, club building, and modern player development systems.

Experience Required

Qualifications

  • PGA Class A Member in good standing (required)
  • 2+ years experience in golf operations preferred
  • Strong Golf Genius proficiency (required)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Service-oriented mindset
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Essential Responsibilities Tournament & Event Management (Primary Focus)
  • Manage and execute all tournament operations
  • Build and administer events using Golf Genius
  • Coordinate cart staging, scoring, contests, signage, and prize distribution
  • Serve as primary point of contact for tournament clients
  • Oversee outing day logistics from start to finish
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage and Operations teams
Daily Golf Operations
  • Assist in management of tee sheet and reservation systems
  • Provide leadership presence in golf shop and outside operations
  • Train and supervise part-time staff
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment
Instruction & Player Development
  • Conduct private lessons and clinics
  • Assist with junior camps and seasonal programming
  • Support growth of instructional revenue streams
Merchandising & Club Operations
  • Assist with golf shop merchandising and inventory
  • Learn advanced club fitting systems
  • Learn high-level club building techniques
  • Support equipment sales and special orders
