The Shore and Country Club is seeking motivated and enthusiastic lifeguards. Must be Lifeguard Certified (CPR/AED & First Aid).

• Possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate or equivalent.
• Swim continuously for 300 yards.
• Communicate with others effectively.
• Act swiftly in an emergency.
• Ensure member safety and protect lives.
• Be in uniform on deck during shift.
• Be timely for scheduled shifts.
• Report all accidents/incidents to the director of pool operations.
• Perform other duties as designated by supervisor.

• Supervising the pool and ensuring that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are being followed.
• Administering first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administering CPR and AED if necessary.
• Evaluate conditions for safety and initiate aquatics emergency action plan as required.
• Inspect the pool facility, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.
• Take initiative in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment.
• Conduct pool reading tests and record them; notifies pool supervisor if necessary.

While performing the job duties, the employee is frequently required to: climb, kneel, reach, push, swim, crouch, stand, pull, grasp, navigate stairs, stoop, crawl, walk, lift, talk, hear, and sit.
