Job Overview
Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver – CDL – Dedicated Routes – Full Time Nights – Akumin Inc
Location: Connecticut
Hours: 2 PM to 6 PM start / 12 AM to 4 AM finish. 8-10 hour shifts, 4-5 times per week, including weeknights and some weekend nights.
Pay: $27-$37 per hour depending on experience and location.

We seek dependable and efficient CDL Class A truck drivers to drive tractor trailers for local deliveries of medical diagnostic equipment. Drivers must be organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is required.
Responsibilities- Transport MRI/CT mobile units at night to hospitals & medical clinics where appointments are scheduled.
- Report daily to the designated parking location to pick up the truck, drive to hospitals/clinics, drop off or pick up trailers.
- Set up and tear down trailers (unload or pack up equipment, 30-45 minutes).
- Typically transport 1-2 trailers per night.
- Receive 4-6 weeks of training for routes and set up/tear down procedures.
- Ensure trailers are securely connected to tractor and are ready for safe transport.
- Monitor, report, and repair any mechanical or safety items that could impede safe transport.
May perform Q.A. checks on equipment after arrival at the site.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Valid commercial driver's license in the state of residence and DOT Medical certification.
- Clean DOT driving record.
- Pass a background check and drug test.
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy tractor trailers.
- Ability to ride safely and avoid damaging equipment or client property.
- Comfortable with transporting and setting up medical equipment (training provided).
- Strong magnetic field or noise exposure awareness is necessary.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs at a time.
