10 is currently seeking a HR Business Partner - Onsite for a permanent position with a Major Food Production Company located in Norwalk, IA. Pay range: $70,000 - $110,000 annually
This role will provide HR support and assistance to employees on a professional level, carrying out responsibilities in functional areas such as safety, recruitment, retention, staffing, benefit administration, employee relations, records maintenance, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities:- Partner with operations teams to develop strategies to recruit, develop and retain a skilled workforce
- Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and screening/interviewing applicants
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
- Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action
- Review employment transactions for accuracy (ie annual reviews, promotions, transfers, new hire paperwork)
- Responsible for HR compliance by participating in monthly, quarterly and annual compliance audits and training
- Supervise the orientation process by ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, conducting company tours and presenting information on company policies and procedures
- Assist in affirmative action
- Assist in identifying, developing and facilitating employee training
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR team members
- Participate in teams (ie HR Strategy Teams, Safety and Plant Continuous Improvement Teams)
- Provide support to supervisors and managers regarding personnel issues while ensuring policies and procedures are administered fairly and consistently
- Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks
- Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- 3-5 years' experience within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management
- PHR or other relevant certification preferred
- Demonstrates an understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Knowledge and experience in human resources policies/practices, benefits, and staffing
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Exceptional computer skills
