Adult Services Coordinator

About the Role

The Coordinator will oversee the adult staff and collection, including helping with book orders, assist with public programming, outreach, and promotional events. This position requires unbridled enthusiasm and a genuine love and understanding of our library patrons' unique interests and needs. Circulation duties and tasks to assist patrons with library services will also be required.

• Minimum of 3 years progressive public library work experience.
• Ability to commute to off‑site programs and engagements.
• Associate degree or equivalent coursework preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Systems, Office Suite, VOIP phone systems, and Sirsi Dynx or other ILS.

• Must be 21 or older, have a passion for public libraries, be outgoing, friendly, with a great sense of humor.
• Comfortable working in complete silence and mass chaos, with tolerance for corny jokes and laughter.
• Organization, public speaking, and leadership experience will contribute to being a successful team member.

Hourly pay: $15–$17 per hour; vacation, sick leave, personal time, paid holidays, OPERS, and medical insurance.

37.5 hours per week — variable schedule (8‑hour shifts). Must be able to work days and evenings and rotate Saturdays.
