As a Registered Dietitian at Norwalk Care Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

• Participate in the process of diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services
• Plan and evaluate programs and activities of the Food Services Department, including food handling, sanitation, preparation, services, procedures, and equipment
• Ensure that charted dietary progress notes are informative and descriptive of services provided and of resident's response to service
• Maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents as necessary
• Work with facility consultants to implement recommended changes as required
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors
• Meet with Dietary and Nursing staff as needed to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or improving services
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the unit and shift
• Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the dietary needs of each resident
• Interpret and evaluate information on a patient's chart and make recommendations for appropriate medical nutrition therapy

• Registered Dietitian with a degree from an accredited program
• 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
