Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant is responsible for the preparation of U.S. and Canadian income tax returns and related reports to ensure company compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local tax regulations, including calculating estimated payments and performing account reconciliations, assisting with annual and quarterly income tax provisions, supporting the manager in compliance with income and indirect tax audit requests, and minimizing company tax liability through sound application of tax laws and regulations.

• Assist managers in the preparation of both the U.S. Federal income tax return and the Canadian federal income tax return.
• Prepare and file state and provincial income tax returns, including quarterly estimates and annual extension requests.
• Assist the Sales & Use tax team on various projects.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC 740).
• Assist Manager with tax audits (income or indirect) to ensure timely response to information requests.
• Keep Tax Director informed of key issues and happenings; stay current on general tax knowledge.
• Update and maintain required account reconciliations for assigned accounts.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a concentration in Accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Multi-tasked, oriented, and organized.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and aptitude.
• Experience with Corp Tax™ is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
