Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with external and internal partners to address and resolve field safety issues.
• Provide technical safety support and pipeline safety installation inspection duties.
• Inspect area/regional construction projects and pipe installations.
• Conduct regular audits to support accurate compliance with Contractor Safety and Environmental expectations.
• Support the construction arm and contractors in the completion of incident investigation requirements.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.

Qualifications:

• OSHA 30 hour Competent person (excavation) from an accredited learning organization
• First Aid / CPR trained and qualified
• Five (5) years of relevant Health & Safety work experience OR degree in safety and three (3) years of relevant Health & Safety work experience
• Computer literate
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Experience using defined processes for managing Health & Safety risks
• Energy industry experience

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 50 pounds
• Bend, stoop, and crawl
• Ascend and descend ladders
• Able to wear respirator and obtain Physician Written Opinion for respirator use
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Work in inclement weather (Hot, Cold, Rain)
• Valid Drivers License

Base salary range for this position is $26.50 per hour.
