Construction Supervisor Level 3 Senior

Contract 1 Year

Hobbs, NM - Onsite - Per Diem Being Offered

The role is for a Construction Supervisor Level 3 Senior responsible for preconstruction and construction activities, reporting, expediting, safety coordination, and SME coordination to ensure project success.

Preconstruction

• Know the SAFETY PLAN
• Kickoff Meeting
• Site Specific Orientation (contractor should host this)
• Read and know the permits, road use agreements, crossing agreements, SWPPP, haul routes, drawings, material, schedule, QA/QC, submittals to engineering for review
• Set expectations, lead, and train the other team members
• Site Safety Orientation and Site-Specific Safety Plan and fill out Safety Assessments / CILs (Unifier)
• Report and documentation (included in Weekly report to CM) and QA/QC (Unifier) and site photos

Construction

• Develop a good relationship with the contractor (if possible)
• Be engaged in the project
• Quality Project (know the specs and drawings); rework increases safety risk
• Know the schedule (C1 and Contractor P-6)
• Track progress, approve the CSU (project tracking spreadsheet needs to be accurate)
• Monitor environmental constraints before/during work activities (SWPPP)
• Stay involved in outage/crossing coordination
• Oversee project success to achieve zero injuries and meet the schedule with a quality product

Reporting

• Prepare and share information with the management chain up to the executive VP; reporting must be accurate
• Manage the team to gather information for accurate reports
• Data may be used in disputes
• Maintain communication with PM; provide background when help is needed
• Reports/Trackers are due on Fridays by end of day (5pm project time)

ISC / Expeditor

• Material Manager
• Help manage the delivery schedule of material
• Identify missing material and work with vendors to improve shipping dates

Safety Team

• Utilize safety knowledge and resources to improve safety through conversations and CILs
• Engage if a contractor will not abide by safety rules (involve them)

SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)

• Utilize SME knowledge to solve problems
• SMEs exist for Civil, Structural, Construction, Electrical, etc.

Land Agent

• Utilize land agents for planning, difficult landowners, information about landowners and land agreements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years as a construction manager
• Transmission line experience is imperative for this position
