South Shore Charter Public School (SSCPS) is dedicated to the mission of inspiring students to excel in academics, service, and life. Our school is fully inclusive and diverse. SSCPS is a K-12 public charter school that serves 1,200 students. As a public school we are tuition-free. Our students come from over thirty-one communities along the South Shore; the top three districts our students come from are Brockton, Randolph, and Weymouth. Our families bring a panoply of cultural and racial diversity to our community, representing many different countries of origin with over 40 different languages spoken at home.

Full Time Status: 100% FTE = 40 hours per week; 10 Month Contract

• Supports the philosophy and mission of the school as well as the school’s projects/FITS/workshops and goals.
• Plans, prepares, organizes, and delivers student learning experiences.
• Motivates, guides, and directs the students in study skills, social emotional learning, and academic learning.
• Proposes new ideas to the administration and helps to implement and evaluate existing ones.
• Is motivated towards professional development and growth in the teaching profession.
• Meets all the requirements of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regarding teacher credentials to teach in a Massachusetts Public Charter School.

• Faculty members are expected to be available for all assignments by 7:45 a.m. and to remain in the building until 3:30 p.m. If the need to leave the building arises, notify the administrator and sign out.
