The South Shore Charter Public School seeks ON‑CALL K–12 Substitute Teachers for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Teachers will provide classroom coverage during faculty absences.

• Manage student learning in accordance with the school's goals and directives.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Enforce discipline and classroom control to create a safe, positive environment.
• Supervise students to ensure health, welfare and safety.
• Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, facilities.
• Report upon arrival to the office, review lesson plans, seek clarification of rules.
• Report injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues promptly.
• Implement lesson plans while maximizing academic time and motivating learning.
• Organize students for effective instruction.
• Dismiss students from classroom before leaving.
• Provide brief record of the day to the regular classroom teacher.
• Collect and return students’ papers, instructional materials, equipment and keys.
• Comply with and support school & division regulations and policies.
• Model non‑discriminatory practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school/division policies.
