Construction Superintendent
WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support the planning, routing, and construction execution of utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and related energy infrastructure projects in the Fort Collins area, CO.
The Construction Superintendent will combine technical project support, route development, and field construction oversight to deliver projects safely and in compliance with all engineering, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and financial support, including reviewing contract documents, plant design criteria, drawings, and specifications
- Support pre‑construction planning and ensure agreement on engineering, environmental, and permitting requirements
- Help evaluate project budgets, cost drivers, and schedule impacts
- Lead route development for gen‑tie and related infrastructure
- Conduct field site visits to validate routing assumptions and support design decisions
- Apply value engineering to improve routing based on cost, engineering constraints, and environmental factors
- Perform routing trade‑off analyses and support siting decisions under uncertainty
- Evaluate routing and construction risks with input from subject matter experts
- Communicate risks, constraints, and mitigation strategies to teams and leadership
- Collaborate with Engineering, Environmental, Legal, Development, and Land teams to ensure permitting compliance
- Oversee field construction activities for BESS projects, including mechanical and electrical installation
- Monitor EPC contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, safety standards, and QA/QC requirements
- Coordinate daily activities between contractors, inspectors, vendors, and partners
- 6–10 years of experience supporting technical or financial aspects of construction projects
- 3+ years of experience with contractor oversight and field construction activities
- Background in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or power generation projects
- Experience with routing criteria (cost, engineering, environmental constraints)
- Experience with route optimization and value engineering concepts

Competitive pay for this position is estimated to be $55‑60/hr, dependent on experience, qualifications, and skills.
