About the role:
Location:
Earth, TX
Per diem paid 7 days/week plus a monthly travel stipend.
Support a greenfield power generation project involving the installation of five simplecycle combustion turbines, full site development, turbine erection, mechanical systems installation, and associated balance‑of‑plant equipment.
The Mechanical Construction Supervisor III is responsible for mechanical field oversight and quality inspections of the EPC contractor to ensure work is completed per approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee mechanical construction activities, including turbine installation, piping, supports, valves, and auxiliary equipment.
- Perform mechanical quality inspections using ArcGIS / Survey
123. - Verify work aligns with mechanical drawings, specs, and contract standards.
- Document inspection results, deficiencies, and corrective actions in Xcel Energy systems.
- Participate in daily Plan of the Day (POD) meetings.
- Coordinate inspection readiness and field access with the EPC contractor.
- Support punchlist development, turnover readiness, and mechanical completion.
- Maintain a safety presence on an active construction site.
- 7-10 years of mechanical construction oversight experience.
- Power plant or heavy industrial project experience.
- Combustion turbine experience is a plus.
- 1+ years of experience with ArcGIS, Survey
123, or Procore. - Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Base salary range for this position, dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $71.00/hour to $76.00/hour.
