South Shore Medical Center is seeking a highly experienced Interim Director of Ambulatory Nursing Operations to provide immediate leadership support during a period of absence among ambulatory leaders. This leader will oversee nursing operations across multiple ambulatory practice sites, mentor nurse supervisors, strengthen clinical operational accountability, and provide leadership stability until incumbents planned returns. This assignment is anticipated to last 3-6 months.

Compensation Pay Range:$ - $Working primarily in our Norwell location, this individual will support ambulatory practices currently affected by leadership absence. The leader will work closely with the ACNO to improve operational consistency, workforce management, and overall department performance. The assignment is intended to maintain operations supporting approximately 135 staff and 94 FTEs across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities Provide interim leadership and clinical operational oversight for multiple ambulatory practice locations.

Directly support, mentor, coach, and develop nurse supervisors and frontline leaders.

Establish clear expectations and accountability for daily operations, performance, and leadership practices.

Manage time and attendance standards, staffing accountability, productivity, and workforce management processes.

Conduct leadership rounding and maintain a visible presence across practice locations.

Partner with clinical, operational, physician, and human resource leaders to address challenges and improve effectiveness.

Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve consistency and performance.

Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and transition planning activities.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards
