Job Summary:

We're seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support daily business operations by managing product and material procurement for production and manufacturing. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong communication and follow-through, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in purchasing and supply chain operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Place orders based on inventory and production needs
  • Track shipments and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align purchases with company requirements
  • Maintain and grow vendor relationships through proactive communication
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery standards
  • Investigate and resolve purchase discrepancies or non-conforming materials
  • Support other duties as assigned

Skills/

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent education/experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role (Lean environment preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Advanced computer literacy required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Macola software preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
