Job Summary
The Student Support Paraprofessional provides 1 to 1, IEP related services, and directly attends to certain specified needs of the student. Working under the supervision of certified staff, the Paraprofessional provides observation and monitoring of assigned students to support learning, ensure safety and prevent injury. Coaches a student towards established goals which increase academic success and decrease behavioral disruptions. Works collaboratively with assigned teachers, clinicians and other support staff.
Provide physical support to students when they are dysregulated; training will be provided. This position is part-time, 30 hrs/week, no benefits.
Schedule:
part time, Monday
-Friday; 8:15am - 2:15pm. Career growth opportunities available.
- Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and procedures
- Effective communication skills
