Job Description

Step into an impactful role as a School Psychologist supporting middle school students. This onsite contract position offers the chance to work closely with both general education and special education students within a collaborative educational environment. You'll be part of a team dedicated to nurturing student well-being and academic success, making a genuine difference throughout the school year.

Key

Qualifications:

  • Current Connecticut (CT) School Psychologist license required
  • Experience with middle school populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of counseling techniques and assessment tools
  • Ability to work effectively with students in grades 6 through 8
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct psychological services to approximately 150 students in grades 6-8, including assessment, counseling, and intervention as needed
  • Support students in both regular and special education programs
  • Conduct evaluations and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop appropriate educational and behavioral interventions
  • Maintain thorough documentation and prepare reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Offer crisis intervention and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students' academic and emotional needs

Position Highlights:

  • Onsite, contract role running from August 24th to the end of the academic year
