Job Title
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
ResponsibilitiesConduct static analyses of mechanical structures or develop solid models to predict stress and structural performance.
Conduct FEA of complex structures to determine mechanical shock survivability in a shipboard environment.
Develop mechanical shock test procedures.
Assist the Design Team with material selection using proper commercial and/or Military Specifications.
Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of design and engineering products.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
Capable of climbing vertical ladders (20' – 25') within the submarine.

Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $69,000.00/Yr.
- USD $72,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
