The Construction Districts are responsible for contract administration and inspection of Department construction projects. Transportation Engineer 3 (Construction Engineering) positions are field assigned to support and carry out direction from DOT Supervising Engineers and Managers in accordance with federal and state statutes, policies, and regulations.
These positions supervise field staff who ensure construction work is completed in compliance with contract plans and specifications.
