Direct Support Professional; DSP

Zone of Empowerment is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized support to adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in Norwich, CT. This is a part‑time position (16 hours per week) with flexibility to build a schedule based on staff availability and participant needs.

• Provide direct care and support in home and community settings
• Support community engagement and social activities
• Promote independence, dignity, and personal choice
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with team members
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment at all times

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient
