Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments and standardized evaluations across developmental domains to determine eligibility and ongoing needs.
  • In partnership with families, develops multidisciplinary strategies for a child's IFSP to address routine activities.
  • Assist team with transition of child out of Birth to Three.
  • Provides supervision to OT fieldwork students as needed.
  • Writes quality IFSPs that meet state, federal and agency requirements
  • Participates in team meetings as requested

All Candidates Must Maintain:

  • A valid driver's license
  • A current auto insurance policy
  • Approved Crisis Intervention Certification (e.g., Safety Care, CPI, PMT)

Minimum Qualification:

  • Maintains license by the Department of Public Health under § 20-74b C.G.S.

Minimum

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move easily between sitting and standing. Ability to maintain a safe, supportive environment by quickly responding to clients as needed (i.e. blocking unsafe behavior or quickly moving to reinforce positive behavior) and following all agency health and safety policies.
