Manufacturing Technician ; Press Attendant 3rd Shift

Job Overview

Maintains molding machines, ensuring correct resin supply and operating in collaboration with process technicians. Tasks include cleaning hoppers, machines, floors, and grinders prior to scheduled jobs.

• Review material controller at start of each shift to ensure correct settings.
• Make rounds to each press to check grinders and confirm proper functioning.
• Clean hopper, vacuum loader and grinder; install new material and calibrate color feeders during material/color changes.
• Clean press and surrounding floor area after changes to eliminate spillage and return unused material/color to proper location.
• Replace gaylords on mezzanine as needed; break down, store, dispose empty gaylords and label reusable resin.
• Remove full parts and regrind scrap gaylords; replace with empty ones as required.
• Practice good housekeeping and adopt measures to prevent pollution or other negative environmental impacts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and write English.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Mechanical aptitude and abilities.

Capable of working in a position with a high level of physical exertion in an 8‑hour day. Must stand, walk, climb, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk or hear frequently, work near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, occasional exposure to high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals. Must lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
