Travel Nurse RN - Oncology

Job Summary

Med Pro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Norwich, Connecticut.

The Oncology RN will care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement new symptom‑treatment methods, and monitor patient progress. Oncology nurses also create a supportive environment and may specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

• Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages of their conditions, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing their disease and treatment, and may also administer chemotherapy.
• Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute‑care oncology setting.
• Additional client‑facility requirements will be specified.
