Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN) in Norwich, CT

This contract opportunity offers the chance to serve as a substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) within a collaborative district team, working on a flexible, as-needed basis.

In this position, you’ll serve once per week as a substitute nurse and provide coverage during the absences of the district’s regular nursing staff. Your expertise will help ensure the continuity of health care services, supporting students’ day-to-day medical needs and responding promptly to any health concerns.

• Active LPN or LVN license in good standing in Connecticut.
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Comfort working independently and adapting to changing daily needs.
• Ability to develop rapport with students, staff, and families.

• Administer routine medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document student health information following district policies.
• Provide first aid and manage minor injuries or illness.
• Collaborate with school personnel to support student health plans.
• Communicate professionally with parents/guardians as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and confidential health office environment.
