The Food & Beverage Manager will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day Food & Beverage operations of the hotel, ensuring consistently high standards across the restaurant, lounge, courtyard and bar.
The role will involve leading and developing the F&B team, maintaining excellent guest service, managing operational standards and ensuring the department performs effectively both commercially and operationally.
Key Responsibilities- Take overall responsibility for the daily Food & Beverage operation and ensure consistently high service standards.
- Lead, motivate and develop the F&B team through effective training, coaching and support.
- Ensure company, legal, cleanliness, hygiene and presentation standards are maintained at all times.
- Oversee daily and weekly operational meetings, checklists and departmental procedures.
- Ensure the team are confident in handling guest feedback and complaints, with a focus on service recovery and guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Restaurant and Meetings & Events Managers to ensure smooth and consistent hotel operations.
- Monitor staffing levels, prepare rotas and forecasts, and ensure they meet both business needs and agreed budgets.
- Manage stock levels, purchasing, storage and rotation while minimising wastage and controlling costs.
- Complete regular stocktakes and investigate any discrepancies.
- Support the budgeting process and maintain a strong understanding of departmental performance and its impact on the hotel's Profit & Loss.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Support the hotel in maintaining quality standards and working towards relevant awards, including AA standards.
The successful candidate will have previous Food & Beverage management experience within a hotel or hospitality environment, with strong leadership and organisational skills. They will be commercially aware, guest-focused and confident managing a busy operation while maintaining high standards.
