Senior Catering Assistant

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for Senior Catering Assistants to work in a Hospital based in Norwich.

You will work as a part of the Ward catering team ensuring high quality service is provided to the patients. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of the patient meal and beverage services.

Please note- this role is working in a busy and cold environment.

Key accountabilities
- To organise the maintenance of a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors to ensure the highest standards are met at all times.

To ensure that patients are provided with appropriate meals and beverages at the agreed intervals throughout the day.

To pick and pack and in a timely manner any stores requests which are then delivered to the ward kitchens twice a day covering Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner

Load stores trollies with any provisions requested as necessary and monitor and record food temperatures.

To ensure all stock is rotated and kept within the correct chilled and frozen parameters.

To ensure that kitchen hygiene standards are maintained.

To monitor and record fridge and freezer temperatures daily in accordance with food safety regulations and report problems as appropriate to your line manager.

This position will be Monday
- Friday 7am- 4pm and working every other weekend- when working weekends you will have 2 days off within the week.

The ideal candidate would hold a Level 2 in Food Hygiene and have Allergen training, however we will still consider applicants without this.

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience within Catering roles.
