Job Description
The Geophysicist is responsible to collect, process, interpret, and analyse geophysical data acquired to produce accurate and informative maps and models of the sub-seafloor geology. You will work in a great team in the office in Norwich, UK, or Naples, IT. As a geophysicist you play a key role in our goal to meet and excel our clients requirements.
Your Responsibilities Include- Production of the data deliverables during the project operations. Monitoring and promptly report any data quality issue with the processing results.
- The Geophysicist is also responsible for interpreting the processed data (SSS/SBP/MAG).
- Produce final deliverables in line with the company Quality standards and in line with project requirements.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in geophysics, geology, or a related field is typically required, experience in the role within the offshore survey industry may be considered.
- Experience with Sonar Wiz/Sea View/CODA/ Oasis Montaj processing suite; similar software may be considered.
- Ability to QA/QC SSS/SBP/MAG data.
- Proficiency with GIS software, such as ArcGIS and QGIS, is required.
- Ability to produce ESRI compliant geodatabases, integrating all survey data to the client’s specification.
- Offshore experience is preferred.
- A familiarity with geological/geophysical equipment can be helpful.
- Good written and oral English.
- Must be able to travel freely.
