Maintenance Builder
£34,505 per annum
Long Stratton, Norwich, Norfolk
Permanent, Full Time
Proposed Interview Date: W/C 9th March (TBC)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Builder to carry out general building maintenance works to a wide range of building types, including those works not necessarily of their own trade.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- All general maintenance building work to maintain Saffron Housing stock and other premises.
- Some bricklaying, roofing, concreting, plastering, tiling etc of a maintenance nature.
- Building work in association with improvement contracts, minor works and small new build contracts.
- Conduct work under the productivity scheme operating in Asset Management in the most economical way.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Educations and
Qualifications:
- Good level of general education to NVQ Level 2, or 5 GCSEs, grade 'C' or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics.
- Trade apprenticeship, or NVQ level 2, or equivalent.
- Full driving license.
Experience:
- Experience in all types of maintenance/building work.
- Experience in working in an occupied property.
- Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Good customer relation skills.
- A thorough knowledge of work in relation to their trade.
- An ability to prioritise their own workload to meet specific timescales and deadlines.
Personal Attributes:
- The ability to communicate at all levels.
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude.
- To be a 'team player' to ensure Asset Management maintains efficiency.

Our benefits:
- Working Hours - 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 16.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 15.30pm)
- When On Call, Standby - £150 per week
- Call Out Rate - paid at time and a half (double time for Bank Holidays)
