Role Purpose

Deliver electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and remedial works across Housing Association properties.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical repairs, upgrades, and maintenance.
Close down jobs using a mobile device.
Manage van stock, tools, and materials.
Participate in the call‑out rota (1 in 8 weeks; £150 standby + time and a half).
Work safely in both occupied and unoccupied homes.

Person Specification

Qualifications

ECS Gold Card (NVQ Level 3 + BS7671), or
Recognised UK electrical qualifications (C&G 2360/2330/2391, NVQ Level 3, AM3/AM2), or
Approved non‑UK route (Ecctis + Experienced Worker Assessment + BS7671 + AM2E/AM2ED).

Experience

Domestic electrical work including rewires, upgrades, and heating system wiring.
Comfortable working in varied property conditions.

Skills

Knowledge of BS5839‑6 (fire detection) & BS5266 (emergency lighting).
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and time‑management skills.
Confident using mobile devices for job management.

Personal Attributes

Full UK driving licence.
Able to work in confined spaces such as lofts
