We have an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative, with a main trade of Carpentry to join our Team.
This role will work to help deliver an effective and efficient service to our residents, working on occupied and empty homes in order to deliver responsive repairs and our planned works programme, including Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades and Aids and Adaptations. You will ensure that works are carried out in a timely manner and to ensure a high standard of workmanship is maintained to our properties.
This plays a key role in being responsible in providing an excellent service to our residents, so if you want to help make a difference to our residents, this may be the job for you!
The main focus of the roles will be:
- To be responsible for effective and efficient repairs/works to our homes, carrying out works to a high standard in empty homes and occupied properties.
- To complete allocated work within carpentry trade/skill set as well as any additional trade/skills such as plumbing, tiling, painting / decorating, plastering/patch plastering and vinyl floor laying etc. further training can be provided
- To help us provide an excellent service to our residents, minimising call backs and maximising first time fixes.
Please note:
The role will temporarily support our responsive repairs team until 31 March 2027, after which it will transition to our planned team, focusing on delivering scheduled upgrade works.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or appropriate trade experience in Carpentry and one other trade.
- Skilled in other trades such as tiling, plumbing, plastering/patch plastering, painting, vinyl floor laying and decorating etc.
- Experience fitting Kitchens
- A full UK driving licence as travel throughout Norfolk and North Suffolk will be required.
- Experience of working in Property Maintenance.
- Good IT, literacy and communication skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently and problem solve.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will join our on-call rota.
